Our Beautiful Planet (Clear)

This Alastair Gibson and Carbon Art 45 sculpture captures the beauty of the planet we live on in recycled carbon fibre.

In an attempt to reduce waste and make this sculpture as sustainable as possible we have chosen to use recycled carbon fibre and aluminium. Each globe is filled with all non recyclable materials used in the production process.

Sculpture limited to 44 pieces and four artist proofs. AP1 available exclusively from Molasses House.

Globe: Carbon fibre, 2 plies/layers 2 x 2 twill 200 gsm off cut material with recycled chop strand carbon fibre laminated to unidirectional carbon fibre, giving a thickness of 2.4mm and coated with a UV resistant blue tinted gloss coating.

Map detail: Masked and coated with graphite grey paint.

Mounting base and rod: Mounted on a black coated wooden and anodised aluminium base with a 23.5° angled stainless steel rod.

Mounting method: Desk mounted.
