
Carbon Dory (Blue)
This sculpture made by Alastair Gibson and Carbon Art 45 was commissioned from Cornwall, the UK home of the John Dory fish. A diversion from the usual fast streamlined fish that Alastair sculpts and shows the stylish details of this ancient oceanic creature.

Sculpture limited to 24 pieces and 2 artist proofs.
Body: Carbon fibre, 3 ply/layers 2 x 2 twill 200 gsm with a Texalium inlay. This gives a thickness of 2.4 mm. Gold tinted UV resistant clear coating.
Dorsal and Underside fins: Coated 0.5 mm photo etched stainless steel.
Tail and Pectoral fins: Coated 0.5 mm photo etched stainless steel.
Nostrils: Modified –1 hydraulic fitting from the Racing Point GP team part number D9 JO40035.
Eyes: Pressured aluminium fuel flap valve from the Sahara Force India GP team part number 12J04-0052-155 03A.
Gill detail: Silver foil tape 0.2 mm used on F1 wind tunnel models.
Exhausts: -2 45 degree titanium hydraulic fittings.
Mounting base and rod: Section of FIA legality perma-glass underfloor plank with front suspension torsion bar mounting rod.
Mounting methods: Desk mounted.
Dimensions: L 470 mm 130 mm 690 mm on base.
Weight: 670 grams.
