'Disillusion' selected for prestigious exhibition at Westminster Cathedral Hall, 9–13 November

Molasses House is pleased to announce that artist Thomas D Wright MA (Royal College of Art) has been shortlisted for the Faith Art Prize 2026, a leading international award celebrating contemporary art exploring faith, devotion, and spirituality.

Wright's work, Disillusion, has been selected by a distinguished panel of judges including Mario Tavella (Chairman, Sotheby's Europe), painter Jemila Isa, and sculptor Nic Fiddian-Green, chaired by Father Patrick van der Vorst. The shortlisted artwork will feature in the official Faith Art Prize exhibition at Westminster Cathedral Hall from 9–13 November 2026.

The Faith Art Prize, previously known as the Laudamus Award, is open to artists worldwide working across all disciplines, media, and techniques. This year's call invited new interpretations of sacred narratives, symbols, and devotional imagery from contemporary practitioners.

Wright's inclusion represents significant recognition of his creative practice since graduating from the Royal College of Art, where he has developed a distinctive voice within contemporary art addressing faith and meaning.
