Often referred to as the ‘Godfather of British Pop Art’, Sir Peter Blake has been producing spectacular original limited-edition prints. His work inspires great respect from younger artists such as Damien Hirst, Gavin Turk and Tracey Emin. Knighted an honorary doctor of the Royal College of Art in 2002, his work is represented in many major collections throughout the world.
Many of his creations feature printed materials such as photographs, comic strips or advertising texts, combined with bold geometric patterns and the use of primary colour, capturing the effervescent and optimism of the 1960's.
Alongside creating some of the most recognisable prints and paintings of our time, Blake is renowned for his close connection with the music industry, having produced influential and hugely iconic album covers for the Beatles, Paul Weller, The Who, and Oasis.
