Large format original work by Pegasus.
Commissioned directly from the artist, the work is inspired by Pegasus' street art on the doorway of the Winchester Bar, Islington, London in 2015 to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's reign.
‘There is no denying that the Queen was stunning when she was young. I wanted to honour that beauty but also portray her in a way that has never been seen before. I have been fascinated by the transition in the Royal Family from monarchy to celebrity over recent years and wanted to add a bit of modern day celebrity influence into the piece, hence the nude bum.’ says Pegasus.
The work is totally unique and benefits from being handsigned by the artist, something he rarely does, alongside his traditional stencil 'Pegasus' moniker.
The delicate use of diamond dust to accentuate the eyes, tiara and dress rewards repeated viewing from different angles and light.
Totally unique and ready for its next home to enjoy.
