Neil worked as an Architectural Model Maker for Pipers Model Makers in London undertaking commissions from some of the worlds most prestigious architects.
As part of the consultation team he met with the architects to discuss what they wanted to convey in the model. To ensure the finished model would be representative of the planned building, working using a wide variety of materials including wood, metal, plastic and a range of spray techniques to give the effect of different materials which the buildings and surrounding area would be constructed from.
Neil has painted most of my life but more seriously in the past 10 years, completely self taught and inspired by the Dutch Masters and the Vanitas Movement.
The skull paintings are part of a series in which skulls represent gender and the human character rather than depicting death and mortality. The subject is used to deliver a message of human emotion, interaction and reaction.
Neil has works in the collections of Denise van Outen, Calum Best, DJ Spoony, Martin Jol, and Shane Lynch.
In 2016 the Wellington private member’s club in London acquired Neil's work to be for their prestigious collection alongside works by Damien Hirst
