Description
A one-off artwork utilising an original 1908 suffragette marching flag, resplendent with a hand sewn ‘Votes for Women’ slogan.
The marching flag was a familiar visual of the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU), established by the infamous Emily Pankhurst & daughter Christabel.
This piece of social history is only available from Molasses House.
Adorned with ‘Fight With Us’ in neon is a nod to the slogan used by Christabel to rally the suffragette marchers
“Do not appeal, do not beg, do not grovel. Take courage, join hands, stand beside us, fight with us”
This is the very first time the work has been exhibited and offered for sale.

The London based artist Mark Illuminati draws on his punk roots and lifelong passion for rock music, its attitude, articulation and cultural dynamism.
