Description

Copter Kid is a totally unique piece of stencil art.

As his 'canvas' Catman uses a genuine Police riot shield...... and one which carries the battle scars as proof.

Copter Kid juxtaposes childhood and street life with this evocative image of a boy catching a helicopter gunship rather than butterflies with a hard hat rather than a net.

Totally unique and a true Street Art collectors item.

Catman is a street artist based between London and Kent. Studying architectural model making at The University of Creative Arts Rochester  (UCA) where he gained his fine scalpel skill while producing scale architectural models, a skill used today in the stencil use within his paintings.

After realising how much he missed art he later returned to Canterbury (UCA) to study fine art where he re-found his passion to paint. Catman’s street art has become renowned for the high level of detail he puts into his pieces on the street and this has been reflected with his work being featured in the “I support street art” collection of best street art from around the globe May 2016. In April 2015 ITV news followed up a mural Catman had painted over night on a homeless shelter with a news report on his artwork and pervious artwork’s questioning his identity which managed to stay anonymous.

Listed as a finalist for the stencil art prize in 2014 and 2015 in Sydney Catman exhibited alongside some of the finest stencil artist’s in the world at the aMBUSH gallery in what is regarded to be the most renowned stencil art competition in the world. Since then, Catman has exhibited alongside some of the biggest names in street art in Miami at Scope 2016 and 2017. Most recently his works were exhibited at Moniker Art Fair 2017 where he launched his latest piece, “The Usual Suspects” which was filmed and produced into a Music video for the Kent based band “King Ziggy”.
