Simon Brind

Simon combines his passion of the abstract and colour to create vibrant, bold and thought provoking works which reward repeated viewing.

As a youngster rave posters and record sleeves adorned his bedroom as a constant stimulant for his creative mind.

Inspired by his teachers John Miles and Janette Nicholls he explored his artistic passion as a teenager in a very public way, with some of his illegal graffiti still visible some 20 years later.

His background in street art and graffiti is self-evident in his recent work having returned to the canvas with the maturity of an artist informed by his younger erratic and errant ways.

Today Simon is creating bold and imaginative work informed by the popular culture of the past and contemporary influences.
