Katy Barnfield

Carbon fibre has been a constant in Katy’s life. As an inquisitive 13 year old she helped her father polish the moulds prior to laying out the carbon fibre material to produce lightweight, high strength components for industry. At university Katy combined her formative years’ experience with graphic design, developing huge respect for urban artists and designers with an intense passion for all things pop art. Combining her laminating skills, drummed into her by her father and her natural creative talent led to experimenting with resin, carbon fibre and her love of motorsport and pop art. The result is a unique process creating totally unique works
